Hollywood resident Lyle Herring, 56, pleaded not guilty on April 30 to charges that he murdered his wife. Herring was taken into custody on April 28 at California State University, Northridge, where he worked as a recruiter. Shiara Davila, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, said Herring has been charged with one count of murder, and he is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on June 30. He is being held on $1 million bail at the Twin Towers jail facility.
