On May 17, at 11:30pm, a fatal hit-and run traffic incident occurred in the Koreatown area when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking on Olympic Boulevard.
The suspect, who was driving an unknown white sedan traveling westbound on Olympic Boulevard hit a 61-year-old African-American female pedestrian and continued driving. The impact proved to be fatal, and the driver failed to stop and render aid as required by law.
The victim was identified by a coroner’s investigator; however, her identity will not be released until her family has been notified.
