A man’s body was found today inside a vehicle in a parking structure at the Original Farmers Market.
According to Sgt. Emada Castillo of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division, the body may have been in the car for several days.
“Methamphetamine was found inside the vehicle,” Castillo said. “We’re not sure if that was the cause of death, but he appears to have died of a drug overdose. He could have been there for two or possibly even three days before he was found.”
The body was discovered by a security officer at the Farmers Market on the morning of Monday, May 10. The deceased appeared to be a Hispanic man in his 30s. His name has not yet been released.
