Actor Jason Alexander struck a 14-year-old bicyclist near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and June Street on April 27, according to police and fire department officials.
Shawn Lenske, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, said firefighters responded to 4801 Wilshire Blvd. around 7:15am after receiving a report of a vehicle versus bicycle collision. Lenske characterized the injuries to the boy who was riding the bicycle as minimal, and firefighters reported that the incident was over approximately 15 minutes later. The victim was reportedly on his way to school when the collision occurred. He was transported to USC Medical Center in stable condition.
Alexander, who is best known for his role as George Costanza on the “Seinfeld” television series, was not cited, according to LAPD spokesperson, officer Norma Eisenman. A report was taken, and the investigation into the collision could take 24 to 36 hours, she added.
