The Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Area detectives are trying to identify suspects who were involved in a shooting on March 4.

At 5:15pm, LAPD Olympic Area officers responded to a radio call in the 900 block of Westmoreland Avenue.  Officers discovered the victim, 26-year-old Sergio Hernandez with a gunshot wound to the head, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

According to detectives, Hernandez was using the payphone when the suspect approached and shot him.  The suspect left in a waiting black sedan driven by a get-away driver.

Both suspects were described as Hispanic males between 18 and 22 years of age.
