A burglary crew has been targeting Mid-City apartments, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
On February 24, two suspects forced their way into an apartment in the 3100 block of West 3rd St. The suspects gained entry into the apartment unit by unlocking the deadbolts and drilling holes from the exterior of the front doors. Once inside, the suspects ransacked the residence and stole selected items. Both suspects were captured in a surveillance video.
The suspects are described as Asian males in their twenties. They were last seen wearing gray baseball caps with the initials “LA” on the front. One of the suspects wore black-framed eyeglasses. Detectives believe that the two are responsible for other burglaries in the area.
Security video footage of the suspects is available through the LAPD Media Relations Section. Anyone with information regarding these burglaries or other crimes is encouraged to contact Olympic Burglary Detective Adrian Chin at (213)382-9440.
