The Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Area detectives are searching for two women who were caught on a surveillance video stealing a store clerk’s purse.
The theft occurred on March 3 at 6:15am at the Jr. Market located at 2800 West James M. Wood Boulevard. According to investigators, two suspects entered the store. As one of the suspects distracted the clerk, the other one reached behind the counter and took the clerk’s handbag.
The suspects left the store with the clerk’s property and got into a blue getaway van driven by a Hispanic male. There was no weapon displayed and no one was injured.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic female about 25 years old, five-feet-one-inch tall and 250 pounds. She was last seen wearing a grey shirt, blue jeans and carrying a leopard purse.
The second suspect is also described as a Hispanic female, about 25 years of age, five-feet-one-inch tall and 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and prescription glasses.
The suspects’ vehicle is described as a blue ‘90s van with partial CA license plate 6——-9.
